AEW’s two top women’s title programs set for this Sunday will be previewed on the next episode of Collision.
This Saturday’s episode of Collision, which is being taped tonight from The Pavilion in Nashville, Tennessee, will see Willow Nightingale and Maya World face Thekla and Hikaru Shida in tag action.
The bout sees the two AEW women’s singles champs face their challengers in the ring before they meet on this Sunday’s pay-per-view program.
Nightingale is scheduled to challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla at Redemption, an opportunity she earned by winning a Casino Gauntlet match earlier this month. A win would put her into a high-profile title showdown against Mercedes Moné at All In next month.
Also at Redemption, fast-rising women’s talent World will try to take the TBS Championship off Shida. World, still riding the momentum of being an Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finalist this year, called for a shot against Shida on last week’s episode of Collision. She’s still chasing her first AEW title and could earn it in the upcoming spot.
The women’s tag showdown is the only match currently announced for Collision, although many other pairings are likely to be revealed in the coming days.
