Jeff Cobb made his first wrestling appearance on Monday night since his release from WWE.
Cobb was a surprise entrant in the Royal Ranbo match on the PRODUCE Volume 3: Azucar show, which streamed on MyAEW.
Cobb was part of the $25,000 King of New York Royal Ranbo and made multiple eliminations before the group worked together to toss him out. The match was won by Jonathan Gresham.
Cobb left New Japan Pro Wrestling to sign with WWE in 2025 and spent one year in the company before his release in May. His 90-day no-compete clause recently expired, allowing the 44-year-old to work wherever he chooses.
Cobb wasn’t the only surprise as Kazuchicka Okada appeared to present a bouquet to Tiger Mask. The now-retired wrestler teamed with Tom Billington against Black Tiger & Black Tiger IV (Rocky Romero) in the pay-per-view opener.
Tiger Mask had a formal retirement ceremony on July 7 with New Japan Pro Wrestling at Korakuen Hall.
