Callum Newman defeated OSKAR to move into a three-way tie atop the B Block on G1 Climax 36 Night 13.
Newman joined Gabe Kidd and Ren Narita on 10 points after Saturday’s event at Yokohama Budokan.
Yuya Uemura moved to eight points, while Zack Sabre Jr. kept his tournament hopes alive by defeating Drilla Moloney. The announced attendance was a sold-out 2,741.

Callum Newman vs. OSKAR
Newman escaped Yokohama with two points after using a low blow and grabbing OSKAR’s tights to win the main event.
The New Japan Cup rematch quickly spilled outside, where OSKAR used his size advantage and later threw Newman through rows of ringside chairs. Newman barely returned before the referee’s 20 count and was immediately met with a leg drop.
Newman had concentrated on OSKAR’s ribs throughout the match and returned to the area with kicks as the German regained control.
A Kiss the Crown failed to put OSKAR away, while Newman escaped the Berlin Fall before becoming trapped in the Alptraum sleeper.
Newman created a distraction for the referee and struck OSKAR below the belt. He then rolled up his opponent while holding the tights for the three count.
Afterward, Newman told OSKAR he hated him and told him to go back to Germany.
The victory moved Newman to 10 points alongside Kidd and Narita.
Ren Narita vs. Aaron Wolf
Narita reached 10 points by submitting Wolf following another match involving extensive House of Torture interference.
Dick Togo attacked Wolf before the bell, although the NEVER Openweight Champion initially fought him off. Narita soon began targeting Wolf’s knee, including trapping the leg against the guardrail during the fight outside.
Wolf responded with a series of judo throws and later delivered an uranage. Togo continued to intervene, while Tatsuya Matsumoto attempted to assist Wolf from ringside.
Wolf survived Narita’s submission attacks and scored a near fall with the Landslide. Further interference eventually left the referee down.
Narita and Togo hit a double-team Double Cross before Wolf absorbed more damage to his left knee. Narita then applied the cross kneebar in the center of the ring and forced Wolf to submit at 14:01.
It was the first submission loss of Wolf’s professional wrestling career.
Wolf can now reach a maximum of 10 points and has already lost his head-to-head matches with both Narita and Kidd, leaving his path to the top two extremely narrow.
Yuya Uemura vs. HENARE
Uemura kept himself in contention by defeating HENARE and improving to eight points.
A technical approach gave Uemura some early success before HENARE drew him into a striking exchange. Uemura adjusted by using aerial attacks and later delivered a back suplex.
HENARE caught him in midair with a Maori Drop and followed with the Rampage, but Uemura survived and attacked the arm.
Uemura escaped an attempted HENARE Bomb before hitting a German suplex and dragon suplex. HENARE stopped an attempted Deadbolt with a headbutt, but Uemura recovered to deliver the move moments later.
A diving body press earned Uemura another near fall before the Lion’s Shiner secured the pin at 15:06.
Uemura said afterward that his remaining objective was straightforward: keep winning as he attempts to reach the tournament final at Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Drilla Moloney
Sabre remained alive in the B Block by defeating Moloney for his third victory.
Moloney initially tried to engage Sabre in technical wrestling, but the 2024 G1 winner gained the advantage by repeatedly attacking his right arm.
Moloney changed course and used his power, including a spinebuster and later the Gore. Sabre caught him coming from the ropes in a triangle, only for Moloney to escape with a powerbomb.
Damage to the arm made it difficult for Moloney to complete the Drilla Killa, with Sabre escaping and hitting the Zack Driver for a near fall.
Moloney attempted the Drilla Killa again during the closing sequence, but Sabre landed on his feet and caught him in a cradle for the pin at 18:29.
Sabre is now on six points with two league matches remaining. Afterward, he acknowledged that winning the block appeared unlikely but said he intended to enjoy the remainder of his tournament.
