CMLL has unveiled some of the matches that will go down as part of its 93rd anniversary show next month.
The company’s large anniversary show, which is scheduled this year to take place on September 18 in Arena Mexico, Mexico City, has five matches booked for it thus far.
The biggest showdown is a tag match which sees four different rivalry duos team up. Whichever team secures the win in the tag match will immediately face off in an apeusta match (mask vs. hair, hair vs. hair, or mask vs. mask).
Ultimo Guerrero and Templario agreed weeks back to have a hair versus mask match. If they can win in the tag bout, they’ll get that opportunity on the anniversary show. Other teams involved will be Mistico and Averno, Dragon Rojo Jr. and Barbaro Cavernario, and Star Jr. and Zandokan Jr.
Earlier in the night, Titan will wager his CMLL World Welterweight Championship in a singles match with Komander. Titan has held the title for a record-setting 2,400 days, first earning the belt back in 2019.
A pair of matches lower in the lineup will see AEW stars in action. Andrade El Idolo will meet long-time rival Volador Jr. in a singles bout, and Bandido will take on Soberano Jr.
