Shingo Takagi has issued a challenge to a member of the Death Riders for next month’s Destruction in Kobe show.

Takagi spoke backstage after Sunday’s show at Sumo Hall and challenged Claudio Castagnoli to a match. The story is that blaming a tag loss in AEW in July for throwing him off his rhythm and leading to his lowest point total ever in the G1. Takagi & Drilla Moloney lost to Claudio Castagnoli & Pac on the July 2 episode of AEW Collision in San Diego, California.

He challenged Castagnoli to come to Kobe next month and face him after finishing the G1 with a 4-5 record and eight points. Takagi’s wins included ones against Ryohei Oiwa and Konosuke Takeshita.

Destruction in Kobe takes place on September 27 with five matches already announced by New Japan.
