Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown is a taped version of the show, allowing the talent to have this past week off before returning to the road on Sunday.
SmackDown was taped last Friday in Cleveland, Ohio, as part of a double taping with this past Monday’s episode of Raw. The show drew 10,550 to the Rocket Arena, according to WrestleTix.
The following matches are set to air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network and internationally on Netflix
- Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk © vs. Johnny Gargano
- The Miz & Kit Wilson vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Kyoki (Hiromu Takahashi)
- Nia Jax vs. Tiffany Stratton
- Non-title match: Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid vs. Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley
- Cody Rhodes to speak
The crew returns on the road for Sunday Night’s Main Event at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, followed by Raw on Monday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Rewind-A-SmackDown with Wai Ting & Neal Flanagan airs tonight at 10:35 p.m. ET on the POST Wrestling Café.
