NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Jaida Parker
Before the match, Parker told Thea Hail to wait in the back before walking out to the ring. After the picture-in-picture ad break, Parker broke a cravat in the corner, and she pushed Jordan after a battle on the top rope. She hit a second-rope leg drop and then got into a strike exchange. Parker hit a series of lariats and dropped Jordan with a ripcord lariat. Parker dropped Jordan face-first and caught her with a blockbuster, followed by a Falcon Arrow for a two-count.
Both women traded flash pins, and Parker transitioned her pin into a Rings of Saturn. Jordan reversed it into a pin to break the gold. Parker had Jordan lying between the ropes, but Jordan floated over, hit a springboard leg drop, and then an Asai moonsault. She missed a 450, and Parker caught her with a Samoan Drop. Parker got her back in the corner to set up the guillotine hip drop. Jordan reversed a hip attack and hit the One of a Kind moonsault for the win.
Wren Sinclair attacked Jordan after the match and even laid out the referee. She grabbed a kendo stick and went to town on Jordan in revenge for Kendal Grey until officials stopped her.
A video showed Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno entering Robert Stone’s office yesterday. They talked about how The Creed Brothers’ return came at their expense, which Stone didn’t intend, so they want a match against them, which Stone granted.
Myles Borne cut a phone promo that was edited to show Tavion Heights watching backstage. Borne apologized for not being there for him and his recent actions, and he wished him luck in his title match. Hank and Tank told Heights that Borne seemed genuine, but Heights was more focused on winning the NXT North American Title.
The Creed Brothers vs. Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
This had a lot of high-paced action that really spotlighted Dar and Moreno as a team. They hit double PKs and dives outside, and they forced Julius into the steel steps.
The Creeds got control during the picture-in-picture ad break, and after the break, they hit a Code Breaker-fallaway slam combo on Dar. Julius ran into the corner, and Dar ran around the ring to tag in Romeo, who ran circles around The Creeds until Brutus hit a German Suplex.
However, Romeo recovered and hit a top-rope missile dropkick and a dive on both Creeds. Dar tagged in, and he and Romeo hit stereo kicks and a double armdrag slam for a two-count. After Romeo tagged in, Brutus dragged Dar outside, and Julius caught Romeo with a stacked powerbomb for a nearfall. Dar cut off Brutus in the corner while Julius was setting up a combo move. Romeo reversed into a hurricanrana pin, and after Julius kicked out, Dar landed Dia de los Muertos, but a Brutus Bomb broke up the pin. Dar was sent into the timekeeper’s area, and Julius knocked Romeo with a lariat, and The Creeds won with a double running slam.
Fatherly pep talk
BirthRight were backstage complaining about how they’re seen as an afterthought. William Regal and Fit Finlay interrupted, and Finlay asked Lexis King what he was going to do after losing his title. He said he would handle Zilla Fatu, but after Regal noted his history with Zilla’s father, Umaga, he told Charlie Dempsey to go handle Zilla and bring back a piece of him.
Wren suspended
Robert Stone admonished Wren Sinclair for her post-match against Kelani Jordan. Sinclair said she did it because Jordan injured Kendal Grey and called her a sidekick, and it left her no choice. Stone didn’t care for it and suspended Sinclair, who called out how she was being punished once she grew a backbone.
Charlie wants respect
Dempsey was in the ring, saying enough is enough after keeping his mouth shut for six years. He said he feels underappreciated despite what he can do in the ring. He admitted he doesn’t do things that the fans love, but he’s substance over style and speaks with actions over his words. He added that maybe that’s what’s held him back, but at least he can look back and appreciate that he hasn’t sold out and played the game like others backstage.
He called back to the origin of BirthRight and how it was too good an offer to pass up, leading the group. They want to mold the business into its proper shape, and he wants to show everyone why he’s the best grappler in the company when he’s been made to look like a fool. He said he’s sick of being treated like a joke and called out NXT for pushing “failed football players, turning them into something they’re not.” He said NXT has turned its back on real wrestlers, and it’s time for them to take back what they deserve.
He called out Zilla Fatu and told him that the offer from last week is still on the table. Zilla came out and admitted that the majority of what Charlie said was true. He does have a chip on his shoulder because of his father, and he can’t grapple like Charlie, but he can turn it up. Zilla appreciated the invite, but he won’t get lost in the sauce because he’s not one of the ones; he’s the one.
Zilla told Charlie hell no, and BirthRight surrounded the ring and attacked him. Zilla momentarily fought back, but the numbers were too much, and BirthRight Shield Bombed him through the announcer’s desk.
Naraku’s warning
Naraku cut a pre-taped English promo on Shiloh Hill. He talked about an old Japanese saying: Saihatsu boshi, which means “avoiding future reoccurence of the same problem.” Naraku told Hill that he doesn’t understand that the search for the mist will lead him into a path toward pain and darkness. He noted that each mist color harms you in different ways. He pointed out that he’s used the red and green mist so far and told Hill to stop now, or he’ll feel every color and its painful effects. He told him to choose wisely, as darkness awaits.
Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars, and Tony D’Angelo were prepping for their match to make sure they were on the same page. Tristan Angels mocked Rook and called Shugars a sheep, but they brushed him off.
NXT North American Championship: Jackson Drake (c) vs. Tavion Heights
This match had a simple but effective story. The numbers game played a part early on against Heights, but Drake’s left foot was hurt, so Heights continued to target it throughout the match. Heights started to gain momentum when he hit an overhead belly-belly suplex and a slingblade, but Drake cut him off with a German suplex.
The two battled to the apron, where Tavion landed a brutal German suplex. Both men went for quick pins and matched each other strike for strike, but as Heights went to shoot for Drake’s foot, Drake landed a running knee clean to the face. He won after landing the 450.
After the match, Myles Borne emerged from the crowd, and Heights walked away without speaking to him.
Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, and Keanu Carver were also prepping for the main event, and Montana got Prosper and Carver to focus. Stone checked in on them, and Carver reminded him of what he did for Stone.
No more friends
Zaria was out in the ring, talking about how there was always someone in her way. That someone also was a double champion, but after getting rid of her seven months ago, she’s now North American Champion. She’s taken away everyone’s favorites, especially at Heatwave, and at the PLE, she finally became a double champion. Now, she’s aiming to become the best Women’s NA Champion in history.
Izzi Dame interrupted from the platform and wasn’t buying Zaria’s “facade.” She called Zaria fake and said she’s become everything she’s hated. She added that Zaria was hiding something and would show everyone who the real Zaria is.
Thea Hail came in through the entranceway and told Zaria that they could agree that they don’t care what Dame has to say. She said that Parker has helped light a fire under her to take what she wants. Dame called Hail boring and called out how she’s still losing sleep over her before walking away.
Zaria mocked Hail about how she’s only here because Parker told her to and how she won’t succeed as long as someone else is telling her what to do. Hail called Parker a real friend, but Zaria mocked her, and the two women brawled after Hail brought up Sol Ruca. Hail caught Zaria in a double wristlock, making her tap, and she ran around pumped up.
Borne met with Hank and Tank backstage, and they told Borne to apologize because his original apology didn’t seem genuine. They told him to do it face-to-face, and because Heights left, Borne will do it next week.
Everyone wants a piece of Vanity Project
BirthRight met with Regal and Finlay backstage, handing Regal Fatu’s shirt. Vanity Project interrupted, and Regal warned Drake to not get too comfortable with his championship. The Creeds, Dorian Van Dux, Sean Legacy, and DarkState then bickered with each other over the tag titles.
Kali Armstrong called out Hail backstage and brawled with Lizzy Rain after she confronted her.
Cruz Montana, EK Prosper & Keanu Carver vs. Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars & Tony D’Angelo
The winning team of this match would face off in a three-way next week to determine a No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship. This was a chaotic match with just about everyone getting a spotlight. The closing stretch saw Montana and Carver working together to superplex Rook. Prosper came from another corner for a splash for a two-count. Prosper tagged in Carver, but Rook kicked Carver into Montana, forcing Prosper to tag back in.
D’Angelo still tagged in and hit German suplexes on Prosper and Carver. He hit a lariat into a bulldog out of the corner, followed by a pop-up powerslam, but Carver came in for the save. Montana accidentally sent Carver outside.
Propser hit a Busaiku Knee, and Shugars landed a top-rope crossbody onto Montana and Carver outside. Propser missed a moonsault, and D’Angelo took him out with a spear. After a chokeslam, Rook blind-tagged himself in, which D’Angelo wasn’t happy about. Rook carried D’Angelo and hit a Death Valley Driver onto Prosper in the corner for the win.
Grayson Waller was on commentary and stared down his potential challengers to close out the show.
