Former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed are set to have their current deals with the company come to an end soon.
The current AEW contracts that Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are under will expire at the start of October, Fightful Select reported on Wednesday. It remains unclear at the moment whether they will be re-upping to new deals, or if their time with the company will wrap up in the coming weeks.
Caster and Bowens gained prominence as The Acclaimed, carrying AEW’s top tag titles from 2022 to 2023. The group disbanded by early 2025. While there was a brief storyline of them uniting months later, their main focus has since been singles careers.
Bowens has rebranded in recent years to “The Pride of Professional Wrestling.” He joined The Opps earlier this year, stepping into the faction shortly after Samoa Joe was temporarily written off TV.
Caster took up a new heel persona as the “Best Wrestler Alive.” Despite carrying around a certificate showing that he is the best, Caster was frequently squashed in 2025. While active on the indies this year, Caster hasn’t worked a match for AEW in 2026.
