The UFC will return to Qatar in November with a light heavyweight main event involving its former 205-pound champion.
Jiří Procházka (32-6-1) is scheduled to headline the card against Navajo Stirling (11-0) in a light heavyweight contest. Procházka won the 205-pound title in June 2022 but was forced to vacate due to injury. This past April, he was knocked out by Carlos Ulberg in a fight for the vacant title at UFC 327. Stirling came off Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024 and has won six consecutive fights in the UFC, including stoppages against Ion Cutelaba and Jan Blachowicz this year. It marks the fourth fight of the year for Stirling.
Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling (26-5) will compete against Kevin Vallejos (18-1). Sterling lost the bantamweight title in August 2023 and moved to featherweight, where he has gone 3-1 and is coming off decision wins against Brian Ortega and Youseff Zalal. Vallejos has won his last seven fights with stoppages against Giga Chikadze and Josh Emmett over the past year.
After pulling out of his fight with Renato Moicano due to injury at UFC 331, Brian Ortega has been rebooked for the Qatar card in a lightweight fight with Dan Hooker.
This marks the second event for the UFC in the country after debuting in the country last November with a lightweight main event between Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker.
