20 women will be competing for a shot at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship next week.
A 20-woman battle royal has been added to the October 6 episode of NXT, with the winner getting a title shot against Jordan. The matchup will include women from not just NXT, but also Raw, Smackdown, EVOLVE, AAA, and TNA Wrestling.
The winner is expected to get their title opportunity at Halloween Havoc, which will go down on October 31.
The final first-round matchups in this year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will also take place as part of next week’s NXT.
Former NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank will face the rising EVOLVE duo of Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov. In another showdown, AAA’s Tokyo Bad Boys will face Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux.
It was also confirmed that next week’s show will see Shiloh Hill get his long-awaited rematch against Naraku. In preparation for the match, Hill has been in his lab trying to learn the different mists that Naraku uses in his matches.
While nothing was officially announced, a fired-up Zilla Fatu ended Tuesday’s program by calling out Lexis King of BirthRight. That’ll likely be confirmed by the time the next episode rolls around.
