Two months into her absence from the ring, Brie Bella has provided an update on her recovery.
Brie had to withdraw from in-ring competition back in August after suffering a broken scapula. At the time, she projected that the injury could put her on the shelf for three to six months.
On the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie podcast, the former WWE Divas Champion said that she just recently had a new CT Scan and was awaiting its results.
“I’m feeling strong, I’m feeling good,” Brie said. “I’m still not cleared to do the exercises I would like to do. I will admit, there is times where I go to shut a window and I get really bad spasms or sharp pains. I’m still really cautious about picking up things that aren’t heavier than five pounds … But, as of right now I’m still in physical therapy three days a week doing, for someone like myself, the most basic type of exercises.”
Brie made it clear that, while feeling positive, she knows her road to recovery is far from over.
“Even if my bones have fused, it doesn’t mean I get to go back yet. It’s a very long process when it comes to shoulder, scapula stuff. It just means I get to take the next step to rehabbing. I’d like to think I’m in the beginner part of rehab.”
Brie last appeared as part of Summerslam in August. After losing in a six-woman tag match, Brie and Nikki Bella ousted Paige from their trio.
