Two Texas-based independent wrestlers joined WWE’s ID program over the weekend.
Josiah Jean and “Lady Bird” Monica Monroe were revealed as the latest additions to the WWE program, which aims to help recruit independent talents to their feeder system. The signings were revealed at Reality of Wrestling’s Rise to Wrestling Royalty live event in Texas City on Saturday.

Monroe won the WWE ID Women’s Championship in the main event of the night, ending Laynie Luck’s 320-day run with the belt. Anyone who earns either of WWE’s ID titles is offered a contract to join the program as well.
Monroe has appeared on the independent scene since 2021. While working independent stops like Reality of Wrestling, OVW, and NWA, she has also appeared in AEW over the years as enhancement talent.
Earlier on Saturday night, Houston’s Jean was also offered a WWE ID contract by ROW head promoter Booker T. Jean, who has appeared previously for ROH, has wrestled for three years in ROW.
Wrestlers who sign to the WWE ID system typically continue to take independent bookings while training at WWE’s Performance Center and making appearances on programs like EVOLVE and NXT.
