Two teams advanced to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on Tuesday.
NXT saw a pair of quarter-final matches on Tuesday, and the first semi-final match is set as Vanity Project will face Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno.
The NXT tag champions, Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes, defeated Mini Vikingo & Chazz Hall. The match ended after Hall went for a shooting star press and Smokes barely got his knees up to block. Baylor tagged in as the duo landed Hit It and Quit It and pinned Hall.
Dar & Moreno had a terrific match with Fraxiom and saw multiple near-falls down the stretch. Dar and Moreno landed a spinning elbow and leg sweep high-low combination to keep Axiom down and win the match.
The other side of the bracket will see El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno vs. Lexis King & Charlie Dempsey, and The Creed Brothers vs. Hank & Tank in the quarter-finals, with those matches taking place next week on NXT.
