AEW squeezed in four final matches onto this year’s WrestleDream lineup on Saturday night.
During a three-hour Dynamite broadcast, AEW confirmed a pair of new main card matches for this weekend’s pay-per-view, as well as two bouts for their Tailgate Brawl pre-show.
Persephone will have her hardest assignment as TBS Champion thus far on Saturday, looking to retain her title in a four-way matchup featuring Dani Luna, Hyan, and Queen Aminata. While Persephone has taken down Luna and Hyan in singles title showdowns recently, this weekend will be her first time facing Aminata since earning the belt.
It was also announced that a trilogy matchup between Nick Wayne and Chris Jericho will take place on Saturday. Jericho initially beat Wayne last month, but that loss was avenged during AEW’s Grand Slam: France event last week. A third and potentially final meeting between them was confirmed following a segment on Dynamite.
Two matches were made official for AEW’s Tailgate Brawl, a one-hour program which will air on TNT just before WrestleDream goes live.
In the first of a best of five, recent AEW arrivals Motor City Machine Guns will face off against FTR. And, in women’s tag action, the Sisters of Sin will meet former champs Divine Dominion.
Here’s an updated look at WrestleDream, which now has 11 bouts in total:
