Monday’s Raw from from Kansas City was the final Raw leading into the Survivor Series featuring a big angle involving the women of SmackDown storming the ring, Brock Lesnar making his first appearance since Crown Jewel, the men’s and women’s teams for Raw are finalized, two attempts at a silly tag team battle royal, and Ronda Rousey has no time for millennials.
John Pollock & Wai Ting present a special live POST Show immediately following WWE Crown Jewel. Beyond discussing the results of this event, we’ll be conducting in-depth interviews about the various issues surrounding WWE’s involvement with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
John Pollock & Wai Ting review what they thought was one of WWE’s best shows of the year headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair in a Last Man Standing match, and Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler. We also discuss the limited production of the show, the commentary team, and the incredible crowd.
It was a very emotional edition of Raw with Roman Reigns relinquishing the Universal title with the news that he is battling leukemia. The show also featured a contract signing between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose going for the Raw tag titles, the new title match at Crown Jewel, an appearance by DX and more on the “go home” show for Evolution.
Episode 17 sees Chris Charlton and Matt Charlton look at 2005. NJPW reaches their lowest ebb, business wise, with extremely poor attendance in the Dome, but some bright spots as Shinsuke Nakamura and Hiroshi Tanahashi begin their rivalry. Meanwhile, NOAH hold another classic show with a legendary bout between Kensuke Sasaki and Kenta Kobashi standing out in particular.
