Major angle takes place at New Japan’s Dontaku card in Fukuoka

There was a big angle shot on Friday's New Japan Dontaku show in Fukuoka, which took place after the ten-man tag match involving LIJ and Suzuki-gun.

Friday’s New Japan Dontaku event from Fukuoka featured the return of Chris Jericho to the promotion with a major angle shot involving Tetsuya Naito.

Following LIJ’s ten-men tag victory over Suzuki-gun, the members of LIJ left Naito in the ring to pose to the crowd. On Naito’s way to the back, he was jumped by a “fan” wearing an LIJ mask, which was revealed inside the ring to be Jericho.

The major spot was Jericho using the ring bell to bust open Naito, who bled heavily and led to a chaotic scene with officials and young boys attempting to stop Jericho. Eventually, LIJ returned and Jericho departed the ring.

This was Jericho’s first appearance for New Japan since the New Year’s Dash event this past January where he attacked Naito previously and would suggest their singles match is coming up.

Jericho also debuted a new “Los Ingobernables de Jericho” t-shirt, which should sell very well over the next few months.
