Conor McGregor is under investigation for another sexual assault charge, per a report from the New York Times.

The allegation against McGregor was made by a woman, who is accusing the UFC star of sexually assaulting her in a vehicle outside of a pub in Dublin, Ireland last week.

Last week, a report surfaced of a sexual assault investigation involving “a famous Irish sportsman”, who was not identified due to privacy laws in Ireland regarding suspects of rape being identified while under investigation.

McGregor has not been charged over this alleged incident nor questioned by the authorities, yet. A publicist for McGregor issued the following statement to the New York Times over the allegation:

Conor McGregor is frequently the subject of rumors. He emphatically denies any report accusing him of sexual assault.

This is the second allegation of sexual assault that McGregor has been linked to. McGregor was being investigated for an alleged incident last December. McGregor was arrested in January and questioned over the allegation before being released. The New York Times reported that the findings of the first investigation had been passed on to the prosecutor’s office in Ireland.

McGregor was just in court last week over battery charges stemming from an April incident inside a Dublin pub where he struck a man, which footage of the attack obtained by TMZ. McGregor will return to court on November 1st for a hearing.

The 31-year old McGregor had recently spoken to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani in August stating his intention to return to the Octagon and has been lobbying for several fights. McGregor recently tweeted about a potential fight with Frankie Edgar, which was shot down this week by UFC president Dana White. McGregor has not fought since UFC 229 where he was stopped by current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018, which set the company’s all-time pay-per-view record.
