AEW Dynamite Notes: MJF’s Stipulations For Cody, Kris Statlander vs. Riho

Multiple matches and segments set for next week's edition of Dynamite including Cody's response to MJF's stipulations.

Coming out of the 1/1/20 episode of AEW: Dynamite from Jacksonville, Florida, MJF presented his stipulations for his potential match with Cody Rhodes but Cody has to abide by and complete said stipulations in order to get the match. MJF says the match with Cody will happen at AEW’s ‘Revolution’ pay-per-view on February 29th in Chicago, but Cody can not put his hands on MJF until the match. Cody must also defeat Wardlow in a Steel Cage match and MJF gets to whip Cody ten times on an episode of Dynamite.

On next week’s episode of Dynamite from Southaven, Mississippi, Riho will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Kris Statlander. Riho retained her title on the 1/1 episode of Dynamite by pinning Britt Baker in a four-way match that involved Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida. Statlander versus Riho was slated for tonight’s Dynamite but due to her commitments with Bar Wrestling, AEW postponed the title match and allowed her to fulfill her independent dates. Over the weekend, Statlander became the new AAW Women’s Champion.

During the show, Joey Janela was doing an interview when he was low-blowed by Penelope Ford. Kip Sabian then walked into frame and walked off with Ford.

On the 1/8 episode of Dynamite, there will be a tribute to Memphis Wrestling legends and some of the honorees will be in attendance. The fans in attendance in Southhaven will also see Jon Moxley give his answer to Chris Jericho about joining the Inner Circle. Jericho offered Moxley an E.V.P. position in the group, a Ford GT and 49 percent of The Inner Circle LLC. Adding on to Riho versus Statlander is Dustin and Cody Rhodes versus Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, and Hangman Adam Page teaming up with Kenny Omega to face Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy).
