Drew McIntyre defending WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at Backlash

At WWE's Backlash pay-per-view, Bobby Lashley gets his first shot at the WWE Championship since returning to the company against the current champion, Drew McIntyre.

Following last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW during-which Bobby Lashley put Drew McIntyre on notice that he is coming after the WWE Championship, a match between the two men has been made official for WWE’s Backlash pay-per-view on June 14th. The location of the pay-per-view has yet to be officially announced.

McIntyre defeated King Corbin in the main event of RAW and Lashley was also in action as he took on R-Truth in singles competition.

Lashley and McIntyre’s WWE Championship match is joining Edge and Randy Orton’s bout on the Backlash card. WWE is billing Edge and Orton’s forthcoming match as “The Greatest Wrestling Match Of All Time”.
