Representatives for UFC fighter Conor McGregor have come out strongly denying the fighter engaged in any alleged misconduct, as was reported on Saturday.

The Agence France Press (AFP) reported that a complaint had been filed this past Thursday where the fighter was accused of alleged attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibitionism. The report added that McGregor was arrested and has since been released.

ESPN spoke with McGregor’s legal spokeswoman Karen Kessler who stated that “Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusation of misconduct.”

Manager Audie Attar cited his anger over the report by adding “I am irate and putting out a warning loud and clear: Conor McGregor is not and will not be a target for those seeking to score a headline or a payday.”

McGregor has not commented on the story and had been in that area for the Calvi-Monaco Water Bike Challenge.

His legal representative Emmanuelle Ramon spoke to the AFP and said that no charges have been filed against McGregor.

McGregor, 32, last competed in January at UFC 246 defeating Donald Cerrone by TKO in forty seconds in his first fight since October 2018.
