New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced a one-night Super J-Cup event set for the U.S. on Saturday, December 12th.

The one-night tournament will feature eight participants in a single-elimination format with the following talent being sent from various promotions:

*El Phantasmo

*Clark Connors

*TJP

The Super J-Cup was founded in 1994 with NJPW hosting the tournament with talent a variety of companies converging for the one-night event.

The tournaments in 1994 and 1995 are among the most popular shows of all-time and were heavily circulated at the height of tape trading.

The last J-Cup took place over three nights in 2019 in the U.S. and was won by El Phantasmo, who defeated Dragon Lee in the final.
