NJPW Strong will begin its next tournament with the return of New Japan Cup USA in April.

The eight-man tournament begins on the Friday, April 2nd edition of NJPW Strong with the winner earning a future shot at IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley.

The eight men in the tournament will be determined through qualifying matches airing over the next month.

This Friday’s show will feature the following qualifiers:
*Tom Lawlor vs. The DKC
*Lio Rush vs. Rocky Romero

The 2020 New Japan Cup USA tournament was won by KENTA, who defeated David Finlay in the final. KENTA lost to champion Moxley on last Friday’s episode.
