Team USA vs. Team Mexico to be added to Survivor Series in traditional elimination match

A traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match is scheduled for the November 28 event in Houston.

Rey Mysterio announced on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast that the match will occur at the Survivor Series, with Team USA facing Team Mexico. The participants were not revealed.

It would be the third match linked to this year’s show following the men’s and women’s War Games matches, which have yet to be officially announced but are scheduled for the event.

The elimination-style match was the feature of the event when it was launched in 1987, with the entire card consisting of the match type. By 1991, they began adding a championship match in the headline spot and limiting the amount of traditional elimination matches on each year’s card. The company began doing annual Raw vs. SmackDown elimination tags in 2005.

The company dropped the traditional Survivor Series matches after 2021 and replaced them with War Games.

Survivor Series will air on November 28 from Daikin Park in Houston and will feature John Cena making an appearance.
