AEW Dynamite notes: New signing to be revealed at Revolution, Shaq, Tully

Lots of news and notes coming out of AEW's Revolution go-home show.

AEW wrapped up their Revolution go-home show tonight with ‘The Crossroads’ edition of Dynamite. Paul Wight (The Big Show) made his Dynamite debut and while promoting the Elevation show with Tony Schiavone, Wight said he will be revealing a major signing to AEW at Revolution. Wight described the individual as a “hall of fame worthy signing”.

Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill picked up a win over Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet to open the show. Shaq took out Austin and Colten Gunn who are members of the Nightmare Family. Also, Shaq paid tribute to the late Jon Huber (Brodie Lee) by doing a signature pose of Huber’s before hitting a powerbomb on Cody.

Atsushi Onita was featured in a video package to promote Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega’s Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution.

Tully Blanchard made his in-ring return on Dynamite alongside FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). They were accompanied to the ring by former manager of The Four Horsemen, J.J. Dillon. Blanchard, Harwood and Wheeler sported championship belts that Tully won during his active in-ring career. Tully got the pin for his team as he pinned Luchasaurus.

During the match, an individual dressed as a camera person helped FTR and Tully defeat Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt. The individual was revealed to be Shawn Spears who aligned with FTR and Blanchard. Waiting in the wings after the match was Arn Anderson who threw up the Four Horsemen sign to Tully and Dillon.

Max Caster defeated 10 (Preston Vance) to earn his way into the Face Of The Revolution Ladder match at Revolution. Caster is joining Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, Lance Archer, Penta El Zero M and one unannounced talent.

Chris Jericho, MJF and The Inner Circle hosted a press conference ahead of their AEW Tag Team Title match this Sunday. Conrad Thompson, Eric Bischoff and several Barstool Sports personalities played the roles of media members, including Brandon F. Walker who was on the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day pre-show. When The Young Bucks came to the ring, they exchanged words with Jericho and MJF. Matt told Jericho that if there were no AEW, he would be curtain jerking at the Performance Center.

Former UFC ‘BMF’ Champion Jorge Masivdal was present at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville.
