The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana & Ortiz) were in full force when they appeared during the first hour of AEW Dynamite. During their segment, Jericho commented on the members of The Pinnacle who brawled with The Inner Circle on last week’s Dynamite.
Jericho then proceeded to announce that on May 5th, the two groups will clash in AEW’s first-ever Blood & Guts match on the May 5th edition of AEW Dynamite.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Inner Circle were going to clash with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Hangman Page in Blood & Guts but the match was postponed.
The Pinnacle group consists of MJF, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and Wardlow along with Tully Blanchard as their manager and that group was officially formed after MJF turned on The Inner Circle.
