L.A. Knight’s coronation, Io Shirai, three tag matches set for 6/15 WWE NXT

L.A. Knight will be celebrated as the Million Dollar Champion, Io Shirai is back and several tag matches announced for NXT on USA Network

Tonight’s episode of NXT on USA Network will feature the fallout from TakeOver: In Your House. At the event, L.A. Knight defeated Cameron Grimes in a ladder match to win the Million Dollar Championship. Knight will be celebrated by way of a coronation on NXT and Ted DiBiase will officially hand the title over to him.

At the conclusion of TakeOver, William Regal stated that it may be time for a change as far as his General Manager position is concerned. Regal is going to make an announcement regarding that.

Raquel Gonzalez defeated Ember Moon this past Sunday to retain the NXT Women’s Title. She’ll be in action on tonight’s show alongside Dakota Kai and they’ll take on Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro.

The reigning NXT Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA is hosting an open challenge. He recently defeated Carmelo Hayes (Christian Casanova) in an open challenge.

Poppy welcomed Io Shirai back to NXT. Shirai also had a run-in with Raquel Gonzalez backstage. Shirai lost the NXT Women’s Title to Raquel at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

It was previously announced that Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher would be facing Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) in a tornado tag match. Another tag match is scheduled for the show as Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) are facing Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango).
