NXT TakeOver: In Your House notes: William Regal, Kross retains, Blackheart returns

William Regal thinks it's time for a change, Karrion Kross holds onto his title, Great American Bash set for 7/6 and more from TakeOver

At the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: In Your House, McKenzie Mitchell caught up with William Regal and with all the backstage physical altercations that have happened over the past several weeks, Regal stated that it has become more chaotic than usual. Regal said it might be time for a change in reference to him being General Manager.

The second installment of NXT Great American Bash is taking place on Tuesday, July 6th on USA Network.

Karrion Kross retained the NXT Championship in the main event of TakeOver. He bested Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne in the match. O’Reilly had Cole in a leg lock and it appeared that Cole was close to tapping out. Kross then came from behind and choked O’Reilly out before Cole tapped.

Raquel Gonzalez held onto her NXT Women’s Title by defeating Ember Moon. During the match, Shotzi Blackheart made her return to NXT. She evened the odds for Ember as Raquel had Dakota Kai at ringside.

Tian Sha’s Mei Ying confronted Mercedes Martinez after Martinez’s loss to Xia Li. Ying tossed Martinez off the TakeOver entrance ramp.

NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed and NXT Tag Team Champions MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) held onto their titles in the winners take all match against Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza).

On this upcoming Tuesday’s episode of NXT on USA Network, KUSHIDA will host an open challenge for his Cruiserweight Title and Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher will meet Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) in a tornado tag match.

Brooklyn, New York artist Naomi Fox performed ‘In Your House’ before the TakeOver card kicked off.
