Against Game 1 of the NBA Finals, NXT presents its Great American Bash special, which led to an increase in its main demographic.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported the show averaged 654,000 viewers and 0.18 (232,000) in the 18-49 demographic.

The show had a modest increase from last week’s viewership of 636,000 viewers but the demo increased from 0.13 to 0.18 or by 60,000 viewers in 18-49.

John Ourand of Sports Business Journal reports that Game 1 of the Milwaukee vs. Phoenix series averaged 8.56 million on ABC.

The performance of Tuesday’s show was below NXT’s viewership average for the month of June on the USA Network. Over five episodes in June, NXT averaged 667,000 viewers and 228,000 in 18-49. So, this week performed slightly ahead of their 18-49 average last month with the NBA Finals running against it.

In Canada, the show performed very well by NXT standards with 75,000 viewers and 32,000 in the 25-54 demo on Sportsnet 360. While we don’t have data for every single week, this would likely be their best performance on Sportsnet 360 since moving to Tuesday nights this past April.

For the three weeks prior to the Great American Bash, NXT averaged 46,000 viewers in Canada.

The show featured a main event between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly in a rematch from the TakeOver: Stand & Deliver show, as well as three championship matches including Zoey Stark & Io Shirai winning the NXT Women’s Tag Championship.
