Kota Ibushi will miss another show this Monday with New Japan Pro Wrestling providing an update.

Ibushi has missed a series of shows with the company stating he was dealing with the effects of a COVID-19 vaccination shot.

Ibushi was listed for Monday’s Summer Struggle event in Ibaraki at Ryugasaki City General Gymnasium, but he is now off that card as well. In their latest update, NJPW says the performer is dealing with an illness.

Below is the statement the promotion released:

Kota Ibushi will not be competing on July 19’s Ryugasaki live event as a result of an illness. Ibushi has undertaken a PCR test, which has returned negative. We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Ibushi wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.

Ibushi was scheduled for an eight-man tag and will be replaced by Yuji Nagata.

The new match will see Nagata team with Master Wato, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima against Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to headline next weekend’s Wrestle Grand Slam show in the Tokyo Dome where he is challenging current champion, Shingo Takagi.
