For its go-home edition before the TakeOver 36 special, NXT fell in viewership for its second episode back on the USA Network.

The August 17th edition of the program averaged 654,000 viewers and 200,000 (0.15) in the 18-49 demographic, per Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

It was a decline of 13 percent in viewers and 21 percent in the 18-49 demographic. Last week’s return to the USA Network after two weeks of taped shows on Syfy averaged 751,000 viewers and 0.19 in 18-49.

The final episode prior to Sunday’s TakeOver special featured a face-to-face segment between Karrion Kross and Samoa Joe, as well as an NXT Tag Team Championship match between champions MSK and Imperium.

NXT finished 31st among all cable programs for the evening. The demographic breakdowns saw NXT average 0.36 in adults over 50, 0.23 in males 18-49, and 0.07 in females 18-49.

In Canada, NXT averaged 93,700 viewers and 45,900 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. It was a very good number for NXT in Canada.

There was also a replay of Raw late Monday night/early Tuesday morning airing from 2 a.m. – 3 a.m. ET (edited down to one hour) that averaged 41,700 viewers and 34,900 in 25-54 on SN 360.
