Edge gets the win after Beth Phoenix evens the odds.
At WWE Day 1, The Miz and Edge went one-on-one. Throughout the match, Maryse was on the outside of the ring attempting to give Miz the advantage. After she hit Edge with her bag, WWE Hall Of Famer and former NXT commentator Beth Phoenix appeared and chased Maryse away from the ringside area.
While Phoenix had Miz’s attention, Edge was sizing him up for a ‘Spear’ which he it to score the win. Phoenix and Edge then stared Miz and Maryse down before the event went to break.

Edge brought back the ‘Brood’ entrance for the Day 1 pay-per-view and then transitioned into his traditional theme song.

Headlining tonight’s show is a five-way for the WWE Championship. Big E is defending the title against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was added after it was revealed that Universal Champion Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19. Reigns was supposed to defend the title against Lesnar at Day 1.
