Ronda Rousey will challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown women’s championship at WrestleMania 38.

The match was officially made on Friday Night SmackDown after teasing that Rousey would opt to select Becky Lynch.

Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville came out for the final segment with Deville informing the champion that Rousey had chosen Lynch for the WrestleMania match. Flair responded by stating she would choose to defend her title against Sasha Banks before running down Rousey and calling Lynch a safer option than facing Flair.

Rousey entered the arena in Oklahoma City and proceeded to make the announcement that she would challenge Flair at WrestleMania.

After Deville scolded Rousey, she was laid out on the mat with the former UFC bantamweight champion applying what was referred to as “The Ronda Armbar” as the show ended.
