Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt to remain as a duo on IMPACT Wrestling TV.

In January of 2021, D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker were named to IMPACT Wrestling’s commentary team. This past January, Tom Hannifan, the former ‘Tom Phillips’ began his role as the lead announcer for IMPACT Wrestling after Striker departed the company.

As the Ring of Honor invasion angle began to formulate on IMPACT on AXS, the group ambushed D’Lo Brown and filling in for Brown on commentary was Matt Rehwoldt along with fellow talents. According to a report from PWInsider, Brown will not be returning to the commentary desk for IMPACT.

The site noted that the company has been impressed with Hannifan and Rehwoldt as a pair. They did commentary together in WWE for 205 Live.

Brown is going to be focusing on his Talent Relations position, which he is the head of alongside Gail Kim.

Tonight’s episode of IMPACT on AXS is the go-home show for the company’s Sacrifice special on March 5th.
