Singles Match: Gringo Loco vs. Joey Janela

Before Emil J could fully introduce Gringo Loco, Joey Janela jumped Gringo Loco from behind and took the fight to Gringo. Janela’s advantage didn’t last long against the quicker and more agile Loco. Loco was caught with a clothesline and was sent to the floor, Joey teased a dive but Loco swept Joey’s leg sending him crashing shoulder first onto the apron. Gringo attempted a split leg moonsault but Joey was able to move out of the way and once again took control of the match. Gringo Loco stacked up Joey on the apron and attempted his top rope falcon arrow but Janela was able to slip through and attempted a sunset flip powerbomb but Gringo evaded with a  moonsault as the two started to trade offensive moves in the center of the ring. Gringo grounded Joey and attempted a top rope moonsault but Joey was able to get his knees up and executed a piledriver for a two count. A frustrated Janela retrieved a door from underneath the ring and set up a door bridge in the center of the ring; Gringo attempted a double jump Spanish fly but it was blocked as both men crashed through the door. Joey grabbed a piece of the broken door, placed it on top of Gringo Loco and hit a top rope double stomp for another two-count. Joey set up another door but was caught with a powerbomb and was laid out on the door, Gringo hit his double jump moonsault for a close near fall eliciting a ‘This is Awesome’ chant. Joey hit an X-Factor followed by a superkick for the victory. This was a great opening match that had sustained heat throughout the contest.

Extreme Championship Match: AJ Gray vs. Kevin Blackwood

The crowd was behind both men as they started the match with a stiff collar and elbow tie up, AJ Gray laid into Blackwood with a series of brutal chops that immediately reddened the chest of Kevin Blackwood. Blackwood wasn’t going to take the abuse from Gray as he too connected with a series of hard chops which was followed up with a backdrop suplex. Blackwood was firmly in control until AJ Gray slapped the taste out of his mouth but Blackwood was unphased, returning fire and grounding AJ with a knee to the gut. Blackwood grounded AJ with a continuous barrage of chops and strikes but Gray was able to land a brutal spinning heel kick that firmly shifted the momentum into the champion’s favor. You can never count out Blackwood as he was able to fire back up landing a series of strikes and kicks culminating in a death valley driver for another two count; a stunned Blackwood turned his ire against the ref allowing Gray some time to recover. Gray connected with a top rope superplex for an extremely close near fall that drew a ‘that was three’ chant from the crowd. Gray ascended to the top rope again but Blackwood ran up the ropes and hit an avalanche t-bone suplex followed by a shining wizard, but he was only able to register a two count. AJ Gray took Blackwood’s head off with a lariat for the victory.

AJ Gray Retained the Extreme Championship

Singles Match: Chris Bey vs. Jack Cartwheel

I didn’t know Chris Bey was in Bullet Club lol. The match got off to a fast start as both men tried to get control of the match long enough to inflict some damage on their opponent. Both of these competitors are evenly matched which made it very hard for either of them to really land some offense in the opening moments of the matchup. The action spilled to the floor where Bey turned up the aggression, driving Cartwheel’s head into the apron and ring posts. Bey was only able to get a two count as Cartwheel fired up and landed some strikes on Bey, as the two fought on the apron where Bey speared Cartwheel which sent him flying into the ring post. Back in the ring. Bey slowed down the pace of the watch with a double chicken wing, followed by an abdominal stretch. Cartwheel was unphased by these submission moves as he fired back up landing strikes onto Bey followed by a stiff spear for another two count. Cartwheel placed Bey on the top rope but  Cartwheel took too long and was caught by Bey who superkicked him and then Ordered and connected with A Code Red for a two count. Bey came off the top rope but Cartwheel caught him on his shoulders, and hit a Death Valley Driver. He then climbed to the top rope looking to hit his finisher but Bey cut him off again with a massive dropkick that sent Cartwheel crashing to the floor. Bey hit the vertebreaker for the victory.

Scramble Match: Jimmy Lloyd vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Damian Drake vs. B-Boy vs. Lucas Riley vs. Dark Sheik

Lloyd, B-Boy,  and Sheik were sent to the floor right away as the three remaining men started running wild on each other with various counters and offense that is typically featured in a Scramble match. Sheik returned to the action as she took out Oliver, drop kicked B-Boy off the apron and went for the pin on Riley and Damian Drake. Jimmy Lloyd returned to the match, Sheik went for a tornado DDT but she was stopped by JImmy who then hit her with a piledriver. Drake hit a Destroyer on Lloyd, B-Boy returned to the match and they all hit a tower of doom spot. B-Boy hit Sheik with a sitout DVD, Drake then took out everyone on the floor with a tope con hilo. B-Boy no sells three superkicks, staggered on the fourth and grounded by fifth, Lloyd was hit with a posionrana which allowed Sheik to attack Lucas Riley for the victory.

This was another great installment of a GCW scramble match, every competitor had a chance to showcase their abilities and signature moves.

Dark Sheik wins the Scramble Match.

GCW Tag Team Championship Match: The Briscoe Brothers vs. BUSSY

In the same building, they won their first-ever GCW Tag Team Championships, the Briscoe Brothers were defeated by EFFY and Allie Katch to capture their own first GCW Tag Team Championship title reign. Mark and Effy started off the match battling for position with Mark getting the advantage with a headlock. Katch and Jay tagged in as the crowd went nuts for both of them; Jay looked on skeptically of Katch and immediately backed her up in the corner; they locked back up with Briscoe again throwing Katch into the ropes. They locked up again but this time Katch was able to toss Jay who got right back up and into Katch’s face. Katch doesn’t back down and tries to take Jay off of his feet with a series of shoulder tackles, she faked going for a third but instead slapped Jay across the face who responded with a ‘rana as Mark charged Effy on the apron, taking him out with a pescado on the floor. Jay tried to choke out Katch on the floor while Mark retrieved two doors, and stacked them up on the floor. They attempted to send Effy through them but he countered and Mark crashed off the rope through the doors. The crowd was going wild throughout this entire match and had an absolutely incredible atmosphere.

Effy was busted open when Jay Sabu’d a chair at his head, this injury allowed the Briscoes to start picking away at BUSSY, sending Katch through a door and drop-kicking the broken piece of the door into Effy’s head. Katch got the hot tag from Effy and ran wild on the brothers hitting a bridging suplex for a two count; the numbers game caught up to Katch as she was beaten down by the brothers–much to the dismay of the crowd. They attempted a doomsday device on Katch but Effy was there to break it up, Bussy hit one of their own, they went for the pin but it was broken up by Mark who hit the froggy bow onto the ref. Jay hit the J-Driller but there was no ref to make the count, Effy returned to the ring but the numbers game was again too much. The brothers Sabu’d two chairs into Katch’s face who wore the chair like a horsecollar. SGC ran in to take out the Briscoe’s, Effy hit a Sack Ryder, Katch hit a piledriver and pinned Jay Briscoe to win the titles.

BUSSY win the GCW Tag Team Championship

Singles Match: Chris Dickinson vs. Masha Slamovich

Masha didn’t wait for the ring intro’s to be finished as she took Dickinson out on the floor with a dive, but her advantage didn’t last long as the much stronger Dickinson quickly and Decidedly gained control. Masha attempted to stand toe to toe trading strikes with Dickinson but she was unable to match his power and was continually taken off her feet with his offense. Dickinson looked to end this one early by introducing a door into the match with the door set up in the corner of the ring. Masha was able to land a head kick followed by an arm breaker but Dickinson was again able to overpower her and sent her through the door. Later on, in the match, Dickinson hit a middle rope suplex followed by a release german and a brainbuster for the victory.

Singles Match: ACH vs. Nick Wayne

The two traded various offensive maneuvers and evasion to start the match off, Wayne hit a standing spanish fly out of nowhere as the match progressed on to the floor. Emil J noted that Nick Wayne watched Kevin Steen vs. ACH in PWG when he was nine years old and cited that as one of the other catalysts that got him into Pro Wrestling. ACH caught Nick Wayne with a pumphandle into a neckbreaker for a two count, Wayne went to the floor, ACH ran in for a dive but held up and attempted  another penalty kick but was cut off. Wayne hit a top suicida that sent ACH flying into the third row, Wayne didn’t waste any time getting ACH back into the ring where he connected with enzuigiri followed by a Code Red for two. Wayne and ACH stood in the center of the ring exchanging big forearm shots, ACH attempted a german suplex but Wayne landed on his feet but was caught with a brainbuster for a two count. ACH set Wayne up on the top rope but Wayne was able to counter with a head kick, followed by a cutter and a standing shooting star, ACH kicked out at two and was hit with a springboard cutter from Wayne but ACH was again able to kick out. Wayne hit a moonsault onto the floor followed by a senton atomico but ACH got his knees up and hit Wayne with a brainbuster for the victory.

Singles Match: Minoru Suzuki vs. Blake Christian

This was easily the toughest opponent Blake Christian has ever faced. Minoru took control for the first portion of the match, wrenching away on Blake Christian’s neck and arm with his various submission maneuvers. Christian was able to turn the tables on Suzuki a couple times but those moments were few and far between. Christian picked up the pace landing a series of dropkicks on Suzuki who was stunned for a moment but he was able to lock in an arm breaker in the ropes further damaging the arm of Blake Christian. Suzuki invited Christian to strike him but the legend laughed off every attempt and grounded Christian with one shot. Suzuki was toying with Christian at various points in this match. Christian was able to hit a series of high flying offenses moves and started to mockingly kick Suzuki in the head; this pissed off Suzuki who hit a thudding penalty kick. Christian was able to get back to his feet and this time successfully stood toe to toe trading strikes with Suzuki who eventually grounded Christian, allowing Suzuki to hit the Gotch Style Piledriver for the victory.
