While airing outside its normal time for the second consecutive week, AEW Rampage fared better with more people seeking out the broadcast.

The May 13th taped edition of the show averaged 340,000 viewers and approximately 157,000 (0.11) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

While this week’s numbers are still the second-lowest in the history of Rampage, viewership increased by 16 percent while the 18-49 audience improved by 10 percent after last week’s all-time lows in those categories.

Rampage finished #30 among cable originals and was assisted by a 58 percent increase in males 18-49 and its 18-34 demo growing by 40 percent.

The show aired at 5:30 p.m. ET and 2:30 p.m. on the west coast due to TNT’s coverage of the NHL playoffs that night, which will continue this Friday for the third week in a row.

NBA & NHL-related programming occupied twelve of the top thirteen spots on the cable charts on Friday, led by the Memphis vs. Golden State game on ESPN that averaged 6,282,000 viewers and 2.09 in 18-49.

The Calgary Flames vs. Dallas Stars aired in the regular time slot for Rampage on TNT and averaged 549,000 viewers and 0.20 in 18-49.

Rampage included a TNT Championship defense by Scorpio Sky against Frankie Kazarian and an Owen Hart Cup match between Ruby Soho and Riho as the two key matches on the program.

After two episodes at 5:30 p.m. ET, Rampage has averaged 316,000 viewers and 147,500 in 18-49 – compared to the last two editions of Rampage in the normal 10 p.m. ET slot, they averaged 491,000 and 213,500 with NBA competition on those nights. So, the move in time has resulted in a 36 percent loss of viewers and a 31 percent loss in the key demo.
