Johnny Gargano's in-ring return, Braun Strowman set to appear on SmackDown, Women's Tag Title match on 9/12, Dominik joins Judgment Day

After making his return to WWE in August, Johnny Gargano will have his first sanctioned match since December on next week’s Monday Night Raw.

Braun Strowman made his return to WWE on tonight’s Raw. In a backstage interview, Strowman stated that he’ll be appearing on the 9/9 Friday Night SmackDown. The ‘Control Your Narrative’ promotion issued a statement about Strowman’s return to WWE. He was one of the names behind the launch of C.Y.N.’s touring brand. Below is the statement:

Braun’s WrestleMania 34 tag partner and former Raw Tag Team Champion, Nicholas, tweeted about his return to WWE.

On the 9/12 Raw, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY are challenging Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The reigning champions scored a win over Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. on tonight’s program. Doudrop and Nikki are coming off a loss at Worlds Collide on Sunday.

To follow up on Dominik Mysterio attacking Edge and his father Rey at Clash at the Castle, it was revealed that Dominik has joined The Judgment Day. He’ll be going one-on-one with Edge on 9/12. The group ambushed Edge in the opening segment, placed his leg between a chair and stomped on it.

There was a singles match between Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio. Dominik stopped his father from hitting the 619 which ultimately led to Priest scoring the win. Priest debuted a new theme which is a remixed version of his old theme.

In the main event, The Miz challenged Bobby Lashley for the United States Title in a Steel Cage match. When the Miz was escaping the cage, Dexter Lumis appeared and ‘scared’ Miz into climbing back inside the structure. Lashley retained his title and post-match, Lumis choked Miz out.

Ciampa received his first name back is now known as ‘Tommaso Ciampa’ again.

Members of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs were in attendance.
