NXT posts strong audience in 18-49, Vice doc on Vince does 95k viewers

NXT posted one of its highest 18-49 audiences of the year and saw a major spike among adults 18-34.

The December 13th edition of the coming off the Deadline event averaged 666,000 viewers and approximately 222,000 (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show’s viewership increased by 25% and the 18-49 demo was up by 27% compared with last week’s episode as the show finished #13 among cable originals on Wednesday, which was led by the NBA.

It was NXT’s third-highest 18-49 audience of the year and its highest audience all year among adults 18-34, which was up 57% from last week.

In the 18-49 demo, male viewership grew by 37% and females were up by 18%.

NXT was coming off its Deadline event with Tuesday’s episode promoted around Roxanne Perez challenging Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship and ending her 413-day title reign in the main event.

The show aired against the Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks game that averaged 1.51 million viewers and 0.45 in the 18-49 demo.

In Canada, the show averaged 68,000 viewers and 30,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 and was the show’s largest audience in Canada since March.

The 9 Lives of Vince McMahon documentary on Vice TV averaged 95,000 viewers and 0.04 in the 18-49 on Tuesday night. The two-hour special ranked #107 among cable originals.

As a comparison, the ten-episode season of Tales from the Territories on Vice averaged 80,500 viewers and 0.02 in the demo.
