Four championship matches have been announced for ROH Death Before Dishonor, including Bandido against Nick Wayne and Athena against Hazuki.
Bandido will defend the ROH World Championship against former ROH World Television Champion Wayne. The match was confirmed during Friday’s episode of ROH TV.
Bandido began his second reign by defeating Chris Jericho at AEW Dynasty on April 6, 2025. Wayne is attempting to become the youngest ROH World Champion.
Athena will put the ROH Women’s World Championship on the line against Hazuki. The two were on opposite sides of a six-woman tag match during Thursday’s AEW Collision before their title match was announced.
Athena has held the championship since defeating Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle on December 10, 2022. Her record-setting reign has now passed 1,300 days and includes 37 successful defenses.
ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty will meet Nigel McGuinness for a third time. McGuinness has agreed that he will never compete for ROH again if he loses.
Deonna Purrazzo will also return to defend the ROH Women’s Pure Championship against Steph De Lander. Purrazzo has not wrestled since facing De Lander at ROH’s June 22 television tapings because of an injury.

- ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Nick Wayne
- ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Hazuki
- ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Nigel McGuinness — McGuinness cannot compete in ROH again if he loses
- ROH Women’s Pure Championship: Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs. Steph De Lander
Death Before Dishonor takes place on Friday, August 21 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The event begins at 7 pm ET and will be available through HonorClub and MyAEW.
