Johnny Gargano is hopeful of returning to action ahead of schedule after suffering a shoulder injury.

Gargano revealed that he sustained a sprained AC joint during a live event on 12/30 in Toronto at the Coca-Cola Coliseum with the injury announced during Raw this past Monday.

The performer appeared on The Bump on Wednesday stating that the doctors originally stated that his recovery would require five to six weeks to heal, but that he is doing everything in his power to cut that time down.

Given the timeline, it would make it touch and go whether Gargano could be available for the Royal Rumble that takes place in less than three weeks on 1/28 in San Antonio.
