AEW Dynamite drops from last week’s large number, draws big audience in Canada

After hitting a four-month high in viewership last week, AEW Dynamite dropped down for its go-home show before Revolution.

The March 1st episode from San Francisco averaged 833,000 viewers and approximately 353,000 (0.27) in the 18-49 demographic. (Data: Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily).

It was a 19% drop in viewership and a 22.5% decline in the key demo from last week’s numbers, which led to AEW ranking third among cable originals behind the NBA on Wednesday night.

Dynamite aired against the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics, which topped all of cable with 1,264,000 and 0.41 in the demo.

In the 18-49 demo, male viewership saw a big drop of 24.5% while females in the demo fell by 12%.

The 18-34 demo saw a major decline of 39% this week and was its lowest audience in that demo since July 20, 2022.

Adults 35-54 declined by 10% while adults 50+ saw their rating decrease from 0.42 to 0.38 this week.

It was a stronger performance in Canada with Dynamite averaging 127,300 viewers and 75,700 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2 and was the show’s largest audience in Canada since September 7, 2022, which was the episode following All Out and the backstage brawl at the event.

Dynamite ranked fifth among sports programs for the night in Canada and was a gigantic increase from last week’s numbers of 76,000 and 34,000 respectively.
