AEW Rampage achieved its largest audience since January as the promotion aired a two-hour block of programming on TNT.

The 10-11 p.m. ET hour on April 7th averaged 503,000 viewers and approximately 222,000 (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic. (Wrestlenomics)

It was the show’s largest audience since January 13, 2023, and a four-week high in the 18-49 demographic (going back to the episode at Midnight ET that had a giant lead-in from NCAA basketball) as it ranked #6 among cable originals on Friday.

The show saw gigantic increases across the board from last week’s episode, which aired against the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, ROH Supercard of Honor, a big women’s NCAA basketball game. This week, the show increased 48 percent in total viewership, 76 percent in the 18-49 demo, 141 percent with adults 18-34 (largest since December 23, 2022), and 55 percent among adults 35-49.

The show featured Julia Hart taking on Anna Jay A.S. in the main event and included Darby Allin taking on Lee Moriarty, The Acclaimed teaming with Matt Menard & Angelo Parker, and an ‘FTW Rules Match’ between Hook and Ethan Page.

AEW’s sixth edition of Battle of the Belts aired immediately after Rampage and was the strongest performing BOTB since last August.

The live 11 p.m. to Midnight ET special from Rhode Island averaged 415,000 viewers and approximately 183,000 (0.14) in the 18-49 demographic. It ranked #12 among cable originals on Friday (Wrestlenomics)

It was the most-watched Battle of the Belts since the third edition last August – topping the specials in October 2022 and January 2023.

Compared to the live episode of Rampage that aired before on TNT, the 18-49 audience fell 18 percent while the overall audience dropped 17.5 percent. In an interesting note, there was no decline among adults 18-34 that posted the identical audience as Rampage.

Battle of the Belts did air in Canada on TSN 2 and averaged approximately 57,000 viewers and 34,000 in the 25-54 demographic.

Battle of the Belts VI included the Lucha Bros. defending the ROH tag titles against Powerhouse Hobbs, Jade Cargill vs. Billie Starkz for the TBS Championship, and Orange Cassidy vs. Dralistico for the AEW International Championship.
