Fred Rosser is taking Juice Robinson’s place in the tournament.

At NJPW Capital Collision, Juice Robinson and Fred Rosser were scheduled go one-on-one. As Rosser was making his entrance, he was beaten down by Robinson. The match never began.

Robinson ambushed Rosser because leading up to the match, Rosser stated that he wanted Toni Storm, Juice’s significant other, to be present for their match and there was a chair ringside with Storm’s name on it. He also struck a referee.

New Japan announced that they’ve suspended Robinson for his actions and as a result, he will not be competing in the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship number one contenders tournament. He was scheduled to take on Lance Archer at Collision in Philadelphia but Robinson is being replaced by Fred Rosser.

Hiroshi Tanahashi will meet Will Ospreay on May 21st to determine who moves on to Dominion to face either Rosser or Lance Archer.
