New champions are going to be crowned in the coming weeks.

DDT Pro-Wrestling’s May 21st show featured the conclusion of the 2023 King of DDT tournament. Before the main event, there was a Death Match for the Extreme Championship.

Shunma Katsumata successfully defended his title against Hideki Okatani. DDT provided an update on the status of Katsumata and revealed that he suffered a fracture in his right ankle. He’ll be out of action for the foreseeable future.

Due to Katsumata’s injury, he is relinquishing the DDT Extreme and KO-D Tag Team Championships that he held with MAO.

DDT has began to roll out the match card for their Wrestle Peter Pan event in July.
