The ‘Championship Friday’ edition of AEW Rampage failed to spike numbers for the show.

The June 2 taped show from San Diego averaged 357,000 viewers and 150,000 (0.11) in the 18-49 demographic as it ranked #12 among cable originals on Friday. (Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily).

It was still Rampage’s strongest number in the 18-49 demos since April 22, which was a Saturday night broadcast.

Rampage finished third in its timeslot on cable behind the College Softball World Series on ESPN and On Patrol Live on Reelz.

It was a loaded-up lineup that gained a lot of praise after it was revealed but didn’t mean as much for the television-viewing audience, which dropped 18 percent from the previous week’s episode while the demo saw a three percent increase.

In the 18-49 demographic, there was a sizable increase of 30 percent among females while males in the demo dropped six percent from last week.

Adults 18-34 dropped by 20 percent which was a result of women in that demo dropping 71 percent from last week and its lowest among women in that demo since May 13. Males 18-34 grew 17 percent from the previous week.

Adults 35-49 increased by 17 percent and did see a major increase among females from the previous week with a big jump while males were down in the demo.

Overall viewership was impacted by a drop from 0.22 to 0.17 among 50+.

The show consisted of four championship matches including a rare match on television for Katsuyori Shibata, who defended the ROH Pure Championship against Lee Moriarty, a AAA Mega Championship match with El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Komander vs. Dralistico, Willow Nightingale’s first defense of the NJPW Strong Women’s title, and an NJPW Television Championship defense by Zack Sabre Jr.
