Billy Gunn: I think we’ve tried to get Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman in AEW a couple times, things just didn’t work out

There were attempts to get Sean Waltman to AEW.

Currently in AEW, Billy Gunn is paired with The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens). The trio is coming off of challenging House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews) for the World Trios Championships at Double or Nothing

Gunn was interviewed by Sportskeeda WrestleBinge and the outlet asked him about the idea of reuniting with Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman in AEW. Gunn revealed that there have been attempts to bring Waltman into AEW but things did not pan out. He added that he thinks Waltman would be good for the younger talents to learn from and he’d be a good representative for the company.

I don’t know if that’s the thing right now (Sean Waltman coming to AEW to reunite with Billy Gunn). I think you’d be hard-pressed to get Tony (Khan) to get me away from The Acclaimed right now so, but no, it would be great. I think we’ve tried to get Sean in here a couple times. Things just didn’t work out. But if the time is right, I think he would be a great asset because he still has huge popularity and everybody knows him and he’s such a good guy that he would not only help the younger talent as well as be a good, good representative of our company and he’d be amazing if we could get him here.

This past January, Waltman appeared on-screen for WWE in a segment with D-Generation X at Raw XXX
