Despite the end of the playoffs, AEW Dynamite dropped in viewership after last week’s strong numbers against tougher competition.

The June 14 episode from Washington, D.C. averaged 830,000 viewers and 391,000 (0.30) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Dynamite ranked third among cable originals behind the New York Yankees vs. New York Mets on ESPN (1,903,000 viewers and 0.42 in the demo), and Vanderpump Rules on Bravo (1,134,000 and 0.41). Dynamite was second in males 18-49 and adults 18-34 behind MLB.

The show saw an 8% slide in viewership and its lowest average since May 17 while the 18-49 audience dropped by 10% and was a two-week low in that category.

In the 18-49 demo, female viewership declined by 17% this week while males in the demo fell by 7%.

Adults 18-34 also experienced a 7% reduction from the week prior while 35-49 was down by 12% and 50+ declined by 3%.

In Canada, Dynamite aired on both TSN 1 and TSN 2 simultaneously with approximately 30,000 viewers and 14,000 in the 25-54 demo on TSN 1 and 38,800 and 23,600 on TSN 2. The combined audience of 68,800 and 37,600 was still very low compared with last week’s figures of 136,700 and 92,400 and was its lowest viewership in Canada since May 17. The TSN 2 airing still managed to rank #10 among sports programs in Canada on Wednesday.

Dynamite was promoted around a Title Eliminator match between AEW Champion MJF and Adam Cole, which kicked off the show with a 30-minute draw, and the main event involved The Hung Bucks against members of The Blackpool Combat Club.
