They stated that everyone was welcoming when they arrived.

As a part of the 2023 WWE Draft, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn were drafted to Friday Night SmackDown. The duo is heading into a title unification match on the 6/23 SmackDown against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

On the lead up to that match, Fyre and Dawn joined Mark Andrews’ My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast. Alba stated that she was nervous for her first day on the main roster. Tamina was highlighted as being helpful.

Fyre: I’m very nervous. Our first day at SmackDown, I was terrified and then I got in and I walked in through the women’s locker room.

Dawn: There were loads of people from NXT, people that I had never met before but they brought me in because like Tamina, I had met once. She immediately took me in like I was her child…

Fyre: Everybody is just so welcoming and so genuinely happy and genuinely supportive of us that it’s just made it easier for us to step into it.

Fyre and Dawn began tagging in WWE earlier this year and have a 5-0 record in televised matches.
