IMPACT on AXS notes: Wentz vs. Bey with Slammiversary implications, PCO is set on fire, Deonna Purrazzo’s open challenge

Scheduled for IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view is a four-way tag for the World Tag Team Championships. Chris Bey and Ace Austin are defending against the duos of Moose and Brian Myers, Rich Swann and Sami Callihan and Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster). The newly reunited Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) approached the tag champions on the 7/6 IMPACT on AXS. Bey ended up agreeing to go one-one with Wentz on 7/13 and if Wentz wins, The Rascalz are added to the tag title match at Slammiversary.

In addition to that, the following matches are official for the next IMPACT on AXS:

  • Deonna Purrazzo’s open challenge
  • Kevin Knight vs. ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey
  • Moose & Brian Myers vs. Rich Swann & Sami Callihan

Bully Ray and Steve Maclin were able to isolate their Slammiversary opponent PCO and Bully lit him on fire. Scott D’Amore was handcuffed to the ring ropes as this was happening.

In the main event, Lio Rush and Nick Aldis teamed up to take on X Division Champion Chris Sabin and IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley. Rush pinned Sabin, who he is challenging for the X Division Title at Slammiversary.

After losing to Jonathan Gresham in singles competition, Angels opted to shake Gresham’s hand much to the chagrin of Deaner.
