Zack Sabre Jr. and Will Ospreay have shaken hands on a championship match for NJPW Royal Quest III next month.

After the main event of Sunday’s NJPW Destruction in Kobe, ZSJ came to the ring to confront his fellow Englishman.

Ospreay had just successfully defended the IWGP United States Championship against Yota Tsuji.

The pair conversed in Japanese, with Chris Charlton translating on the English language broadcast, as Sabre said the main event was a great match. He then pointed to Ospreay’s title, saying that he wanted it.

As they switched to English, ZSJ clarified that he wanted the match at NJPW Royal Quest III at the Copper Box Arena in London on October 14th.

After a handshake, Ospreay knocked Sabre’s New Japan World TV title off his waist. As Zack bent down to pick it up, Ospreay teased the Hidden Blade and ZSJ went for a Zack Driver. Neither move was hit as the two went their separate ways.

The match was later confirmed as the main event of Royal Quest III.

Ospreay unofficially rebranded his title as the IWGP United Kingdom Championship in August.
