NOAH revives GHC Hardcore Openweight Title, new champion to be crowned on 10/23

A new Hardcore Openweight Champion will be crowned.

Coming out to the ring on the debut episode of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Monday Magic show was NOSAWA Rongai. He revealed that NOAH is reviving the GHC Hardcore Openweight Championship.

A new champion is going to be crowned on episode two of Monday Magic on 10/23. After Ninja Mack picked up a win over the debuting Terry Yaki, he stuck his claim to the reintroduced title. On 10/23, he’ll be competing against a mystery opponent for the championship.

The Hardcore Openweight Title was first introduced in 2004. In 2007, it was converted into a tag team title and then that same year, it was reverted back into a singles championship.

The likes of Jun Akiyama, Naomichi Marufuji, 2 Cold Scorpio and Kenta Kobashi have won the title.
